a DIY christmas shoot and then some

on friday, we had a chill morning with uncle norm and auntie elaine before heading out to run a few errands and then go to st. joe's (where max was born!) to meet drew, my "godmother's" baby (rachel was my sponsor when i went through the RCIA process last year).

roger took the kids to a home depot workshop on saturday morning and we spent the rest of the day being productive-ish around the house.

sunday morning, the kids walked the offering baskets down and were so so cute!

then we went to gaslight theatre for their chistmas production - elf'd.  so much fun and we had an insane party that took up two full rows.  after some switching and finagling of tables, roger was the lucky one that ended up at a table with max, alora, ella and charlotte!

our table was almost as entertaining as the show - ella and charlotte and their normal goofy shenanigans and max planting a full on kiss on an unsuspecting alora.

a fun and busy week leading up to thanksgiving!!  on monday, i survived a solo trip to not one, but TWO grocery stores.  ugh.  today, i am thankful for roger handling our weekly grocery shopping!!

on tuesday, i helped out with ella's thanksgiving party at school (OMG, helping 80 first graders to make corn husk dolls then help prep an intense thanksgiving feast - today i am thankful for all that the teachers do everyday for our kiddos).  i took a break to pick up max from preschool then went back to the school to do a little extra work for mrs. thomas.  i am also thankful that max has his auntie jenny to help him out and take him with josie!

on wednesday, roger and enjoyed some errand running just the two of us while max had his thanksgiving feast.

today, max was apparently thankful for his fish, ziggy zaggy.  seriously??  when i asked him why of all things (and people!), his fish, his response: i only got to pick one.  hmm....

then we went to my parents' house for dinner and to celebrate uncle hank's birthday!

happy thanksgiving!!!

we had a fabulous thanksgiving of hanging out with family and watching football.  it was us, my parents, auntie elaine and uncle norm, uncle kenny and uncle hank - i dubbed it our "fungsgiving."

max:  like a bouncy ball.  it just keeps going, bouncing from here to here to here to here and never stopping.

a post-thanksgiving dinner philosophical conversation.  max didn't know what he didn't know.  he didn't know what uncle norm knew.  or what uncle norm didn't know.  do you know??  

today i am beyond thankful for my family and friends.  our lives are truly blessed, not by what we have, but who we have around us.  i couldn't wish for anything more.
