we are on our way to the east coast!! the kids did an awesome job being good little travelers.
we arrived sunday night in bridgehampton and were looking forward to a fabulous week with jill, mike, danielle, isabelle, brooke, amy, justin, evan, owen, jeanne, marc and william...phew!
the house was fabulous - and even had a great gym. which the girls found quite useful.
...and a pool and a tennis court!
evan helping max put together his lego set.
after torrential rains all day monday, the kids were finally ready to go swimming.
in the hot tub. seriously. this is where the 4 kids hung out all week. a little hot tub. plus about 8 pool noodles.
cousins!! the kids had a fabulous time hanging out - just loved loved seeing them all together.
entertaining owen
fun games to pass the time
ready to roast marshmallows for s'mores!
time for more hot tub fun
ella loved holding her baby cousins
the basement also provided a ton of entertainment for the kids - arcade games, air hockey, foosball table, pool table and ping pong table.
on wednesday - we welcomed the sun and headed out to cooper's beach.
ella collecting all of the seashells she could find - making up for the lack of shells in san diego.
ooh, lemon icees - totally brought me back to my own childhood - these were my absolute fave.
more sweet treats...
before playing in the hot tub again.
on thursday, i took a quick shopping trip with mike and danielle - it's so beautiful in the hamptons
on friday, we went to a bayside beach for a little bit
and then headed to wolffer estate vineyard for some rose and cheeseboards. yum!!
earlier in the week, the kids made up invitations to their talent show.
max's job was to welcome everyone and tell them to silence their cell phones.
the girls choreographed a dance to "ice, ice, baby." ha! so adorable.
the week went by so so fast and we had a day left together!
when mr. bissmeyer passed away, 7 years ago, they divided his ashes amongst the 4 kids, but roger had never spread his portion. he wanted to do it with his siblings and it was a very sweet moment.
out for ice cream in bridgehampton
i wanted coffee - it was seriously the most exciting latte ever. look who i ran into:
jimmy fallon!! yup - i'm that person and bugged him (with roger's help). but he was so super nice and interacted with max for a bit.
sunday morning - last time in the hot tub
there was a frog in the pool which the girls spent a large portion of the morning creating "habitats" for.
until he jumped into max's bowl of cereal. wish i had it on video!
the kids seriously had the BEST time with their cousins and we hope we can do it again very soon!!!
