We rounded out the holidays with a "Christmas dinner part two" - less imported frozen Chicago pizza, more prime rib, roasted vegetables and bourbon bread pudding.
We spent a cozy night ringing in 2021 - family game night and our traditional fondue!!
Cheers to a fresh start. Not much has changed, but we are looking forward to the future; hoping it's bright and fun of joy and togetherness. I love these faces!!
We had a long-overdue girls' night at a Gaslight concert - it was absolutely freezing, but just being with these girls warmed my soul.
Last Friday, we spent a fantastic afternoon - a hike in Saguaro National Park with the Cotters, followed by a quick trip to a Lego re-sale shop to check out some vintage sets, and take-out from Chipotle for a family movie night. Wish all of our days could be like this!
On Sunday, Jenny and I completed what will (HOPEFULLY) be my final virtual race. It is really difficult to run a virtual half - there is no support/pressure from fellow runners or on-lookers or volunteers. Also made more difficult by the fact that the part of the loop that we intended to run (read: flat) was closed due to horses on the loose (only in Tucson), we had to run an unexpected and exceptionally hilly route. So we ended up absorbed in conversation as we casually strolled down the street. It was a relaxing 13 mile jaunt. Completed in 3:10:28, but completed. One to go. One to go. Let's do this. All of it. It's a fresh, new start. We're going to make it great, kiddos.
